About the Special Division of the Police

Раздел.Перевозка и охрана имущества.1The Special Division of the Police is a structural unit of the Department. It was formed in January 2013 on the basis of the Independent Special Police Company of the Department for Safety and Security in order to perform specific tasks in the field of security including operational control and coordination of escort squads of Department’s regional offices.

At present the Special Division of the Police is one of the most mobile units in the security structure, which ensures efficient implementation of its tasks and has all the necessary means, armament and up-to-date motor transport.

Main tasks of the Division:

  • escort (mandatory escort, customs escort) of goods and (or) vehicles transported across the territory of the Republic of Belarus by road;
  • transportation and (or) protection of property (cargo, goods) including those transported on vehicles;
  • maintenance of public order.

Functions of the Division:

  • contract-based rendering of security services:

– individual security service

– protection of objects (property) including transported cargo of legal entities and individuals

– transportation and protection of transported property

– escort of goods and (or) vehicles

– receive alarm signals from alarm systems installed on mobile objects of legal entities or persons, including individual entrepreneurs and respond to them

  • escort (customs escort, mandatory escort) of goods and (or) vehicles transported across the territory of the Republic of Belarus by road;
  • organizational and procedural as well as methodological support of security divisions that provide escort of goods and (or) vehicles;
  • development of laws and regulations, instructions and guidelines on escort of goods and vehicles in cooperation with relevant services of the Department;
  • development of informational materials regarding organization of activity within the scope of its competence;
  • twenty-four-hour coordination, operational control and monitoring of escort squads of the Department using navigation and monitoring system, as well as collection, registration, analysis and summarizing of information on concluded agreements;
  • consideration of appeals (propositions, requests, complaints) made by citizens including individual entrepreneurs and legal entities (hereinafter – appeals) within the scope of its competence in accordance with the law;
  • performs other function in accordance with the law.
